How to Prepare for Your Service
To help our team provide you with the fastest and most efficient service, please ensure that all gates are unlocked, pathways are clear of vehicles or brush, and pets are safely secured prior to our arrival.
If you choose to expose your septic tank lids ahead of time to avoid excavation fees, please do so safely. Please note that our team will never dig on your property without your prior authorization.
If a main manhole is completely inaccessible, we can utilize your system’s inspection pipes to service the tank. The property owner must sign off on this alternative before we can proceed.
Please notify our technician of any underground obstacles such as sprinkler lines, invisible dog fences, or other buried utilities.
We also ask that you minimize heavy indoor water use while our truck is actively pumping. While it is not required for someone to be home during service, we do prefer having an adult available to handle payment upon completion.
Rules & Regulations
- All Septic pumping Services provided adhere to MN rules-7080 to 7083.
- At the time of appointment, our scheduler makes an inquiry regarding inspection pipe vs manhole access to your system. Septic maintenance service through a manhole is recommended by the MPCA. This is to ensure removal of all solids and liquids from a tank. However, Minnesota rules allow homeowners the option of tank cleaning through inspection pipes if their septic tank manhole is not easily accessible, or they request the lawn not be dug up.
- Fiedler’s Your Pumping Specialists, Inc will not dig up or uncover buried manhole covers without prior customer authorization. Uncovering buried access covers is an additional billable service. To protect you from unexpected charges, we perform and bill only for the services you request. If access is restricted and service is performed strictly through inspection pipes, customers must sign an acknowledgement form to keep on file before work proceeds.
- Routine maintenance includes:
- ½ hour time, system assessment
- Tank pumping with backflushing of tank contents
- Up to 80 feet of hose
- Clean up of site to pre-service status after completion of services
- Maintainers may recommend additional services based upon onsite assessment. These services may include but are not limited to:
- Searching and digging for tank access
- Crustbuster use
- inspection pipe and riser/cover replacement
- High pressure jetting of drainfield or other lines
- Pump replacement or float adjustments/replacement – each will incur additional charges.
DISCLAIMERS & EDUCATION
- Fiedler Your Pumping Specialists, Inc is not responsible for any damage to yards, landscaping, sprinkler systems, or electrical systems due to the need for any probing, digging or otherwise altering the ground to allow for septic tank access at the time of your services.
- A 3% convenience fee is charged for credit card transactions. Cash or Check at time of service is appreciated as it helps keep costs down for everyone. However, if you would like to pay via credit/debit card, please call our office at 320-252-9916 or click on the link on your invoice.
- Concrete and plastic risers and covers on septic tanks can wear down and break over time. As a result, may crack/break upon removal. Fiedlers Your Pumping Specialists, Inc is NOT responsible for any damage to manhole covers related to their removal or moving during maintenance.
- Wetwipes / “flushable” wipes / Handi-wipe type wipes are NOT septic safe and should NOT be flushed. Any removal and disposal of nondegradable debris from a septic tank will result in additional charges.
